About us

The Ysursa and Asla families, along with many Basque families, have enjoyed the bonding and memories that were created during the Basque Open Golf Tournament throughout the years, while also happily supporting and raising money for the Basque Foundation. The rich Basque Culture and its connection to the game of golf continues to grow with previous Masters Champion Jose Maria Olazabal, current European Tour star Pablo Larrazabal and the most recent Masters winner in Jon Rahm, all who have Basque roots. The new Basque Open Committee was founded in an effort to foster this growing connection through revitalizing the Basque Open and supporting the Basque Foundation through an enjoyable round of golf. All proceeds created through golf registration, donations and sponsorships will go directly to the Basque Foundation and will contribute to upcoming renovations to the Basque Center.
